9. Advertising and Health Information
We may market Crowd Dental to potential members and communicate with existing members about Crowd Dental services.

For example, information indicating that a member needs dentures, implants, restorative treatment, or another dental procedure should not be used to target that individual with unrelated third-party advertising.

Crowd Dental is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or services that we do not operate.

24. Participating Dental Providers
Participating dentists and dental practices may maintain their own patient records and have their own privacy practices, legal obligations, consent forms, and notices.
A participating dental provider's clinical records are not automatically governed solely by this Crowd Dental Privacy Policy.
Your dentist may provide a separate Notice of Privacy Practices or privacy notice applicable to information maintained by that dental practice.
25. HIPAA and Protected Health Information
Certain dentists, dental practices, health plans, service providers, or business associates may be subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and its implementing regulations (“HIPAA”).
Whether particular information is governed by HIPAA depends on the entity possessing or processing the information and the circumstances in which it is processed.
Where Crowd Dental is legally acting as a HIPAA business associate or is otherwise subject to HIPAA requirements with respect to particular Protected Health Information, Crowd Dental will handle that information according to applicable HIPAA requirements and contractual obligations.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to reduce privacy rights provided by applicable healthcare privacy laws.

Crowd Dental membership is not a bank account.
Information maintained in connection with your membership should not be interpreted as establishing an individual financial deposit account, investment account, or personally owned pool of funds unless expressly stated in a separate legally binding agreement.
Financial and payment information is used for legitimate purposes associated with administering Crowd Dental's services and business operations.
27. Automated Systems and Artificial Intelligence
Crowd Dental may use software, automation, data analysis, or artificial-intelligence-assisted tools to improve administrative processes, customer service, fraud detection, operations, or platform functionality.
Crowd Dental does not intend for automated systems to replace the professional judgment of a licensed dentist regarding diagnosis or clinically appropriate dental treatment.
