The Process
How Crowd Dental works
Crowd Dental is a membership community. You pay $20/month to stay active. When you need dental care, you pay the first $300 for each approved need. After that, a community fund may help with eligible remaining costs after review. Support is never guaranteed. Crowd Dental is not insurance.
What you submit
To request help from the community fund, you send:
- An itemized estimate or invoice from your dentist
- Proof that you paid, or will pay, the first $300
- Dates of service or planned treatment dates
- Your dentist’s name, address, and contact information
- Any treatment notes or records we request
Clear, complete documents help us review your request faster.
Timeline and review
We review each request using written guidelines and real people. Here is what usually happens when you submit a need.
Typical review timeline
01
You get care and pay the first $300.
02
You upload your documents through the member portal.
03
We confirm that your documents are complete and readable.
04
We review eligibility and fund availability (usually 3–5 business days).
05
We share a decision and, if approved, send support as described.
What happens if something is not eligible?
Some needs do not qualify for help from the fund. This may be because of our written guidelines, missing or unclear documents, your membership history, or limited fund balance.
If a need is not eligible, we explain this in plain language. You remain responsible for the full cost of your care.
Important notice
Crowd Dental is not insurance. Support from the community fund is never guaranteed. All decisions depend on eligibility rules, documentation, and fund availability.
